Your Every Day Carry IS your Get Home Bag
Your EDC is your Get Home Bag
Alright, let's talk about our everyday carry.
The reality is your everyday carry IS your get-home bag, unless you want to take the chance of leaving a designated bag in your truck, which is susceptible to theft.
In some major modern urban environments, it's most certainly going to not just invite theft but pretty much guarantee it.
If you leave a bag sitting on your seat in plain view through the window of your car or truck in certain areas of certain cities, we all know the chances of your car getting broken into and that bag getting stolen are very, very high.
So why risk it?
As we stated previously, the number one tool for modern, urban, everyday carry theft is going to be insurance.
And so while yes, your bag and all your belongings will be covered under a homeowner's or renter's policy, you're still left with a broken window and no get-home bag, no get-home gear.
Well, this is why we say your edc is your get-home bag.
This way your get-home bag is always on you.
Your everyday carry is your get home bag, your get home bag is your bug out bag.
You read that right.
In a true, real emergency you will only be left with what you have on you.
