Why Spending $250 on a EDC Bag Makes Sense

Why is it worth spending at least $250 on a bag?

Some people might say quality, and they wouldn't be wrong.

However, just because a bag costs more than $250 doesn't mean it is the best made.

Some bags cost more than $250 because of their name brand or fashion.

However, when it comes to peppers in modern, urban, everyday life the reason it makes sense to spend at least $250 on your EDC bag is because of insurance.

Insurance deductible minimums are usually around $250.

This means you are responsible for the first $250 replacement costs.

Or in other words, they are only going to reimburse you for what was taken minus $250.

So if your bag alone is $250, yes, you might be out the $250 on the bag, but now you're going to be able to recover the cost of replacing all the items in that bag.

To put it another way, if you spend less than $250 on a budget bag and all the gear that is inside of it then you won't get reimbursed for any of it.

Make sure you have a renters insurance plan to cover the loss of items stolen from your vehicle.
